The Bethlehem Library is hosting a powerful exhibit of wildlife and nature photography, taken by amateur photographers Barbara Hansen and Gail Ouimet during their travels in the western United States and Canada. The exhibit is located in the Leever Room.
According to our Library's website,, "Frame prints are available for purchase during the exhibit. Inquire at the circulation desk for assistance. A portion of the purchase price will be donated to the Friends of the Bethlehem Library.

COOL WEATHER ACTIVITIES ABOUND

Cool weather has arrived with a vengence, but this hasn't diminished the opportunity for exciting and educational events throughout Bethlehem and the surrounding area -- many events have just moved inside!
For out-of-town folks, Bethlehem had its first SNOWFALL and the Polar Vortex is chilling residents. Christmas and Holiday shopping is underway, so come support your local small business by purchasing gifts and services from the community. Want to see a play? A Christmas Carol will be the final production of the Landmark Community Theater (formerly Thomaston Opera House, Thomaston, CT), on November 28, December 5,6,12,13 @ 8 pm, and November 29 & 30, December 7 & 14 @ 2 pm. Join miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as he learns the true meaning of Christmas and life in this holiday extravaganza. Tickets may be purchased through the Landmark Community Theater.

Bethlehem Public Library is the place to go when the weather is chilly! Their inventory includes "Books for leisure and information, inspiration, and education; audio books; large print books; magazines and newspapers; movies; over 500 music compact disks and Interlibrary loans from over 11 million items." And don't forget their popular Day Passes program for Norwalk Acquarium, Mystic Acquarium, State Parks, Wadsworth Atheneum and other attractions. Passes are loaned for two days to anyone with a valid library card.

GOOD SHEPHERD'S CHRISTMAS FAIR

Church of the Nativity will offer its popular Christmas Fair on Saturday November 22, from 9 am to 3 pm. The location is Fr. Shellman Hall. Lunch, raffles, handmade crafts and a white elephant table. Rent a table for $25.
THANKSGIVING SERVICE
Church of the Nativity will hold its Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 25. The seasonal service will feature choirs from several area congregations. As the Little Towne Times reports, "It's a beautiful way to start the holiday season with all your neighbors."
VESPERS
First Congregational Church will host Vespers at 7 pm on Friday, December 5 as part of the Christmas Festival.
